Abrasive Wheels


This course is designed to help the individual understand their responsibilities within the workplace and is aimed at persons working with Abrasive Wheels. It is a legal requirement under The Provision and use of Work Equipment 1998 (PUWER) that all staff who use abrasive wheels receives abrasive wheels training in the safe use of the tools and changing of wheels.

Asbestos Awareness


Asbestos awareness training is required to be given to employees whose work could foreseeably expose them to asbestos. In particular, it should be given to all demolition workers and those workers in the refurbishment, maintenance and allied trades where it is Foreseeable that their work will disturb the fabric of the building because ACMs may become exposed during their work. Exemption from this requirement would apply only where the employer can demonstrate that work will only be carried out in or on buildings free of ACMs.

Fire Marshal


Our fire marshal course will provide the delegates with a comprehensive review of theoretical and practical understanding of the typical functions of a fire marshal within a workplace. Hand Arm Vibration Awareness


To provide participants with the knowledge required to understand the hazards and controls associated with Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome. Delegates will appreciate the key legislation & guidance covering HAVS in the workplace including the implications and requirements of the impending The Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 which implement the physical Agents (vibration) Directive (2002/44/EC).

Manual Handling


More than a third of all over-three-day injuries reported each year to HSE and local authorities are caused by manual handling. Manual handling is the transporting or supporting of loads by hand or by bodily force. Surveys show that on average over a million people a year in Great Britain suffer from musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) which have been caused or made worse by their current or past work. This training course will help prevent MSD's and also teach delegates the best methods of moving loads.

Mobile Scaffold Tower Erection

Safe Working at Heights


The Work at Height Regulations applies to all work at height where there is a risk of a fall liable to cause personal injury. The Work at Height Regulations bring together all existing work at height regulation and state the minimum health and safety requirements for the use of equipment for work at height. On completion of the course, all delegates will have the ability to define 'height work', identify accident causation, have an overview of legislation applicable, have an appreciation of planning & organization, have the ability to identify hazards and appreciate the merits of risk assessment & safety inspections.
